#HM15 Plant utility system optimisation.

Industry 4.0 specialist IntelliSense.io will showcase the latest upgrades to their Intelligent Factory solution at Hannover Messe. IntelliSense.io specialises in delivering ‘Optimisation as a Service’ with rapid ROI and no upfront capital investment for process industries.

IntelliSense.io solutions are used by Europe’s leading semiconductor manufacturing company, the world’s largest uranium mining company and large global OEM among others.

Intelligent Factory
Intelligent Factory comprises of a portfolio of optimisation applications. The application to be demonstrated at Hannover Messe will be Plant Utility System Optimisation (process cooling water, compressed air & make up air among others), which delivers significant improvements to process plants that want to take advantage of Industry 4.0 capabilities to gain significant energy reductions and extend life of their capital equipment.

As a major addition to the Intelligent Factory solution, the company will be previewing their new product Brains Virtual Optimisation Simulator (VOS). Brains VOS provides a system simulation environment that is calibrated continuously with real time data allowing engineers and plant operators to evaluate the consequences of implementing changes to equipment controls in an offline environment and being able to see the impact on the overall system performance and plant economics. The other major advantages of Brains VOS are that it has been designed using web application principles of simplicity and ease of use for both technical and non technical users.

At the heart of IntelliSense.io Intelligent Factory solutions, the Brains WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) product utilizes Linear Technology’s SmartMesh® wireless sensor networking modules LTP5900-WHM (external antenna) and LTP5901-WHM (on-chip antenna). These modules deliver ultralow power operation and >99.999% data reliability, ensuring that Brains WSN can be retrofitted and deployed in a varied range of operating conditions. Brains WSN is being used in process plants to rapidly deploy parallel data acquisition infrastructure without any interference to existing control systems.

Intelligent Factory and its products will be showcased at the Linear Technology stand (Hall 9, Stand G29) at the Hannover Messe and will feature live demonstrations on the benefits it delivers. Visitors to the stand will discover how the following has been achieved by the deployment of the solution at a leading German process plant:

  • Electrical and thermal energy savings
  • Continuous verification of leakages in compressed air and gasses
  • Extending operating life of current assets
