Siemens has added a small mobile operating and monitoring device to its cable-connected Mobile Panel product line. The new Simatic HMI KTP400F Mobile Panel has a bright, 4 inch widescreen display, and offers the same performance flexibility, comfort and quality features as the 7 and 9 inch panels. Complex process and system images are displayed clearly and in detail on the 16:9 aspect ratio display in 16 million colors. Outstanding features are the unique, illuminated emergency stop button, the flexible options for integration into safety applications, and a connection box that can be mounted directly on the control cabinet.
The Simatic HMI KTP400F Mobile Panel IP65 operator panel can be used within a wide temperature range from 0 to 45 degrees Celsius; it is also dust-tight, protected against splashwater and resistant to chemicals. The operator panel has touch and key operation, and is integrated into an automation solution via Profinet. All Mobile Panels are configured in the TIA Portal with the Simatic WinCC engineering tool. With the new-style editor, operating screens can be adapted to different design requirements at the touch of a button.
