Scada software expanded for plant-specific analysis of individual KPIs
Siemens Industry Automation division has expanded your Simatic WinCC V7.2 Scada software with the optional WinCC/PerformanceMonitor package for calculat-ing and analyzing plant-specific key performance indicators (KPIs). The user can derive optimization potential for production and measures for increasing productivity. Combining the results and accompanying values reveals correlations, such as prod-uct quality in relation to suppliers.
Narrow IO modules for modular distributed I/O
The Siemens Industry Automation Division has developed narrow IO modules with a width of just 25 millimeters (mm) for the Simatic ET 200MP distributed I/O. This means that up to 30 modules can be mounted on a standard mounting rail of 830 mm. The new modules can be combined with the 35-mm modules of the same de-sign which are already established on the market. The new portfolio of 25-mm mod-ules for Simatic ET 200MP includes the following digital input and output modules: DI 16x24VDC BA, DI 32x24VDC BA, DQ 16x24VDC/0.5A BA and DQ 32x24VDC/0.5A BA, as well as the mixed module DI/DQ 16x24VDC/16xDC24V/0.5A BA.
Fast technology modules for distributed I/Os
Siemens Industry Automation division is expanding your compact and scalable dis-tributed Simatic ET 200SP I/Os with two technology modules for measuring, count-ing, and position acquisition. The new TM Count 1x24V technology module for 24-volt input signals is a universally deployable counter module for counting and meas-uring tasks and for position acquisition with incremental encoders. With measuring functions for speed and frequency and signal acquisition of up to 200 kilohertz, the new module is also suitable for challenging tasks, such as the packaging, foodstuff, or paper industry. The new ET 200SP TM PosInput 1 technology module is addi-tionally capable of position acquisition with SSI absolute encoders. The module is designed for difference signals according to RS-422 and processes signals up to 1 megahertz.
High-end industrial PC of the latest generation
Siemens Industry Automation Division is launching a new generation of its high-end industrial PC family Simatic IPC for hostile industrial environments. The new devices of the D generation support the power multi-core processor types Intel Xeon and Intel Core i3 to Core i7 of the fourth generation. They are the first box, rack, and panel industrial PCs of that type on the market. The D devices have 60 to 180 per-cent higher CPU power than the predecessor models of the C generation. The HD on-board graphics integrated into the CPU with dynamic frequency now achieves three times higher graphics performance. All new IPCs with high long-time availabil-ity and industrial functionality are designed for maintenance-free, 24-hour continu-ous operation and also meet high-temperature, vibration, shock, and EMC require-ments.
Ultra-compact Coriolis flowmeter for skid and machine builders
With Sitrans FC410, Siemens presents the lightest and most compact Coriolis flowmeter currently available, featuring a high measuring accuracy of 0.1 percent. With dimensions of only 265(L) x 280(H) x 90(B) millimeters and a weight of 4.6 kilograms in the smallest version (DN 15), the meter is ideal for machine and plant construction or for frame-mounted equipment. The combination of compact design, high accuracy, IP67 degree of protection and a wide variety of functions orients Sitrans FC410 toward use in almost any facility, even where space is very limited.
Single-phase power supply with high degree of protection
With Sitop PSU100P, Siemens is marketing an especially rugged single-phase power supply for wall mounting with the high degree of protection IP67. Sitop PSU100P supplies a constant 24 volts with 5 and 8 amps with up to 93 percent efficiency. The power supply is designed for use in the wide input voltage ranges 85 to 132 and 170 to 264 volts. It switches between voltage ranges automatically. Sitop PSU100P has a compact aluminum housing with 7/8-inch standard connectors and is water-tight. The power supply can be used in a temperature range of –25 to +60 degrees Celsius and provides a continuous rated power over the entire temperature range without derating.
