Roeland (Roel) Van Doren
President – Emerson Process Management Europe
Roel Van Doren, President, Emerson Process Management Europe is responsible for leading all of the European sales and marketing activities for Emerson Process Management. Roel is based in Emerson Process Management’s European Head Office in Baar (CH), where he previously held the position of Vice President Northern Europe.
Roel has been with Emerson for 22 years, progressing through the organisation in various management roles. After ten years with the Belgian organisation, Roel moved to Britain and became the General Manager Operations for Britain and Ireland. Subsequently he took an assignment in the US as Vice President of the Refining and Chemical Industry Center.
Roel has a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.
Vice President, Marketing and Applied Technology – Emerson Process Management, Europre
Travis Hesketh is responsible for sales and marketing Emerson Process Management new technologies across a broad range of industries. He has over 30 years of experience in the process control industry, including 15 years with Emerson.
Travis’ career began in the process industries and developed from craft apprentice to product quality leadership at a major chemical company. He moved to Emerson in 1998 as Process Systems Sales Director for Britain and Ireland.
Travis is a Chartered Electrical Engineer and has an Honours degree in Electrical and Electronics from Manchester University and an Honours degree in Business Studies from Hull University. He is currently the Vice Chair of the Fieldbus Foundation Steering Committee in Europe.
Travis is a member of the engineering industries association, Orgalime, EU Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) Task Force which represents over 100,000 companies and workforce of 7.2m.
He is a member of the European Union Industrial Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) bureau Monitoring Best Practice working group. It provides information to guide IPPC permit writers and operators of IPPC installations.
Erik J. A. Lapre,
Vice President, Service, Europe, Emerson Process Management
Erik Lapre has over 24 years of experience with Emerson and over 17 years in various service roles. In his current position of Vice President, Service, Europe, Erik is responsible for managing and expanding Emerson’s service and support capabilities across Europe to meet changing customer needs.
His career with Emerson started as Sales Support Engineer for Fisher Controls, progressing through several key roles, including the implementation and management of the new Global Service Centre in Manila, the Philippines. Late 2007, Erik was appointed as Vice President, Service, Europe, and established the European Service Leadership Team to drive the service growth programme.
Erik has a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Haarlem Technical College and studied CT at Nyenrode University for Business Administration in The Netherlands.
Director Sales Europe, Process Systems and Solutions, Emerson Process Management
Rolf has over 20 years of experience in the process control industry. He is currently responsible for the Process Systems and Solution Sales organisation across Europe and is actively engaged with the majority of the projects and customers.
Prior to his current role, Rolf held various positions with Strategic Accounts, Sales and Sales Management and started his career within Emerson as a process systems engineer in the Netherlands. Prior to joining Emerson, Rolf worked at IBM in its Plantfloor automations group in the Netherlands as systems engineer for MES.
Rolf has a BSc degree in Computer Science and Electronics from the Hogeshool Utrecht the Netherlands.
Production Leader of South Hungarian Region, Upstream Division, MOL, Hungarian Oil Plc.
Károly Oláh is currently the Production Leader for the South Hungarian Region, Upstream Division at MOL. Previously, in his role as Advantaged Leader of Production for the Algyő Region, Károly lead both the Energy Optimisation and Rationalisation project, and APC installation in the gas fractionalisation unit. Károly joined MOL in 1992 having previously worked at KFV, Crude Oil and Natural Gas Production Company as a Production Engineer.
Károly graduated at the Gubkin University of Oil and Gas Industry in Moscow in 1982. He also has a MSc in Oil Mining from the University of Miskolc, a MSc in Management of Enterprise Economy from the School of Economics, Budapest and a MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Veszprém.
Lead Engineer, IT and Telecommunications Department, LUKOIL-Nizhnevolzhskneft LLC
Denis Ordenov has been with LUKOIL for 7 years and is Lead Engineer in the IT and Telecommunications Department of LUKOIL-Nizhnevolzhskneft LLC, oil and gas production subsidiary of LUKOIL oil company.
Denis is responsible for telecommunication services and the implementation of new information systems. Some of the latest solutions to be implemented include an information system for remote on-line monitoring for drilling providing control over well construction; automatic dispatcher control system for dispatching operation of offshore ice-resistant fixed platform, with data transmission from automatic process control system to onshore facilities; and training complex for Corporate Training Center simulating the work of real technological complexes and systems of IFP (ice-resistant fixed platform), Yu. Korchagin field.
Denis has a degree of Astrakhan State Technical University in Telecommunications Networks and Switching Systems.
Rijeka Refinery Sector Director, INA d.d
Igor Šepić was appointed as Rijeka Refinery Sector Director in February 2011, having started his career in INA d.d. as an intern in 1997. From 1998 to 2006 he held the positions of Process Engineer (HDS/MHC, HDS, VB, Reforming Unit), Expert Advisor to KBC company at the Rijeka Refinery Profit Enhancement Program, Specialist for Planning, Optimisation and Blending, and Deputy Manager for Material Balance Department. From 2006 to 2009, he was the Manager of Urinj Production and in August 2009, was appointed Manager of Operational Production Management.
Igor graduated in 1997 from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology in Zagreb as Chemical Technology Engineer (BSc). In 2003, he attained an EMBA certificate from the IEDC Bled School of Management, Slovenia.
Ton van Dijk
Global Director ICT, Royal Vopak
Since 2006, Ton is responsible for Vopak’s IT globally. He leads an IT organisation that is focused on the creation of business value through the execution of excellent operations and projects. His CIO office sets the strategy, governance, policies and architecture to guide business and IT in the optimisation of Vopak’s results.
Ton’s experience is in business IT alignment, process improvement, innovation and sourcing, and he has a background in logistics and IT from previous employments including Apple Computer and Heineken.
