#WWAC2013 Details announced for water/waste symposium

The phenomenal success enjoyed by the 2012 ISA Water/Wastewater & Automatic Control Symposium in August was remarked in our report on the event. Now the programme for the 2013 event is being planned. The venue is Orlando, (FL USA) as last year and recently the website for the 2013 event was launched.

Symposium Venue: Crowne Plaza Orlando-Universal Hotel, Orlando, FL USA

Presented by the ISA Water/Wastewater Industries Division, in collaboration with the Florida Section of the AWWA (FSAWWA), the Florida Water Environment Association (FWEA), and the WEF Automation and Info Tech Committee , the 2013 ISA Water/ Wastewater and Automatic Controls Symposium is to help professionals in the water and wastewater industry understand how automatic control applications affect processing and distribution of water treatment and provide an outstanding opportunity to gain valuable technical information and training.

Some of the short courses which will be held in conjunction with the Symposium have been announced. Two optional short-courses have been finalised.

One course is an in-depth course that focuses on the ever-growing threat of cybersecurity and how to effectively identify/manage it with the help of the ANSI/ISA99 cybersecurity standard.  The other course is a survey course about the latest flowmeter technology and how to select/size appropriate flowmeters for common water/wastewater applications. Further details are listed on their website here.
