Higher security, ease of use and full support of virtualisation raises the HMI bar for workforce empowerment, while lowering total cost of ownership
The latest version of Wonderware® InTouch 2012 human machine interface (HMI) software was released at Invensys OpsManage 11 held in Paris in early November.
The award-winning Wonderware InTouch software is the primary visualisation application of the company’s InFusion® Enterprise Control System. An open and extensible solution, the software enables users to quickly and easily create standardised, reusable HMI and real-time decision support applications that can help maximise their return on engineering shorten project times and significantly reduce maintenance costs. With its market-leading innovation, graphics, ease of use, engineering efficiency and support, the software goes beyond the capabilities of an ordinary HMI to help drive real-time business optimisation.
“As the world’s best-selling HMI software, InTouch 2012 includes many highly requested customer enhancements and performance improvements, including strengthened security; simplified installation and license management; increased operator and engineering productivity and efficiency; and support for the latest remote desktop services and virtualisation technologies from Microsoft,” said Gary Nelson, product marketing manager for supervisory and HMI products, Invensys Operations Management. “Our goal is to simplify workforce empowerment and collaboration with tools and resources to make informed business decisions in real time, furthering the pursuit of business optimisation.
