#ISAutowk State of CSIA

The mission of CSIA (Control System Integrators Association) is to advance control system integration for the success of our members and their clients.

Their leadership structure changed significantly a couple years ago and Executive Director Robert Lowe used Automation Week to show what has been accomplished since then and where the organisation is today wnd where it hopes to go.

Membership has increased significantly since 2009 (50% in Partner membership, Integrator members 13% and an enviable member retention rate of 96%). They also have an active membership (16%) outside of North America in around 26 countries who fully participate in association affairs. In support of this international membership and to strengthen their presence in the world market they have participated in other ISA events most notable ISA Mexico and ISA Brazil. As a modern society they have an active social media site which will facilitate more their worldwide awareness.

CSIA certification continues to gain respect and demand has increased in the past few days. They are also working to increase awareness of this certification through the website. The certification process has been examined and further imporvements are anticipated.

They anticipate further growth through 2012 particularly in India, Asia and Europe. Revison four of their Best Practices and Benchmarks Manual is due next April.

The annual conference of CSIA is scheduled for Scottsdale (AZ US) on April 25-28 2012.
